“Those who plan do better than those who do not plan, even though they rarely stick to their plan.” ~ Winston Churchill
With 30+ years as a legal costs expert Will saw that the traditional law costs firm and the bill at the end at the end of the matter was a thing of the past shortly after the publication of the Woolf Access to Justice report in 1996.
Customers of any type need certainty of cost and the approach taken by law firms in providing little or no costs information at the outset and then not monitoring the costs throughout the lifecycle of a project was outdated. Taking inspiration from the late great Colin Chapman who said '' Simplify, then add lightness'' his approach to process, management and projects is for the inputs to be as lean and agile as they can be thus allowing for better managed outcomes.
Branching out into Legal Project Management or as he thinks of it, Matter Management, he brings a detailed understanding of QMS into project management and auditing. Holding certification in Legal Project Management from the International Institute of Legal Project Management as well as being a CQI/IRCA certified QMS ISO9001:2015 associate auditor (PCQI) he leads the specialist matter management and auditing team and together with Susanna provides the nucleus of the management team.
Organisations should think of themselves as a Project and should be undertaking constant reviews of themselves to ensure that the business is fit for purpose.
With expertise within the professional services sector he is able to audit to the ISO 9001:2015 and standard in addition to specialised audits relating to process and procedure and matter lifecycle within both public and private sector legal teams as well as being able to provide detailed audits for Funders, ATE providers, banks and other interested parties.
